You might encounter large herds of elephants, baboons, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and, if you're lucky, the park's famous tree-climbing lions. The lions are known to rest in the branches of trees, a behavior that’s rare and intriguing to witness.
- Bird Watching: Lake Manyara is a bird lover’s paradise. Over 400 species have been recorded, including flamingos, pelicans, and other waterfowl that flock to the lake’s shores. The sight of thousands of flamingos against the backdrop of the lake is one of the most striking experiences of the day trip.
